Guinea pig harness? Which is the best?
I have this

for my guinea pig, Doodle. but he HATES it. The medium is too big, and the small is too small and he hates the way it fits him. I can’t bring myself to leave it on him for more than 5 minutes, because he obviously isnt enjoying it (That’s if he hasn’t allready gotten it off himself!)

But I thought the vest would be more comfortable for him (guess I was wrong!)
Should I buy the other one? Or is it not worth it? What is your experience with them and GPs/ferrets/etc? Which is best?
I knew wheels and balls were bad for them, but I asked my Vet about the harness…. she said he probably wouldn;t like it but it wouldn’t hurt him. =( But He gets lots of floor time anyways… I guess I’ll hold off on the harness!
Please do not use ANY type of harness on a guinea pig, they are not safe or fun.
Guinea pigs will not learn to walk on a leash like a dog could – they will probably be very scared of being exposed, especially outdoors, uncomfortable, and unlikely to get any exercise or enjoyment from it.
As guinea pigs are nervous animals anyway, there is a high risk something will spook your pig and he will try to run. If this happens he can easily hurt himself, even break his back!
Guinea pigs should get their exercise by being allowed floor time – the time to run loose in a safe, supervised area, eg in a safe room or pen. There is no reason to use a harness of any type on a piggie – it isn’t necessary and is not worth the risk.
