How to handle a dog that barks all night?
he barks all night and im concerned my neighbors might complain. when i let him inside the house, he stops barking. but i dont want him to get used to sleeping inside the house. i also think hes the one whos starting the barking spree of other dogs in our street! help!!!
how do you train them to sleep in their own beds? wont they bark inside the house if they hear other dogs barking outside?
Dogs are pack animals.
They have a need to be *with* their ‘pack’.
Britain has a law that one can’t buy less than 2 pets at a time,
because they recognize how destructive pet-loneliness can be!
For this reason, we allow our dogs to sleep inside,
near us, but on their own beds, on the floor.
It makes for a better relationship with them, all the way around.
If left outside all night, they develop their ‘own’ pack leader,
&, it won’t be you!
(It is inhumane to put a mouth guard that disallows the dog to bark, on all night! It can cause the dog to overheat, & even die, in warm weather (by interfering with panting & drinking)!
