Looking for a charity that accepts hand knit wash cloths.?

It needs to be a 501c3 charity so I can claim the yarn recipts.

Do you have a local Veterans Hospital? Check with the Salvation Army, your local fire department, an organization to help young birth mothers — in our area it is called “Birth Right” and they provide new and gently used items to single mothers in difficult circumstances. They were a huge help to my daughter when she had her son, we were not in a position to do much more than put a roof over their heads, so all of the items we received were so appreciated. They provided 2 large bags of hand made blankets, cloths, clothes as well as a voucher for a significantly discounted crib and Car Seat. Later they helped us with an exercise saucer (first cousin to a walker). We later returned the favor in honor of our son whom we lost just before the birth of our granddaughter. This time we were in a much better position to outfit a baby – so we sent a contribution in his name and her honor so that they can help more young mothers.
