How do I give myself a buzz cut? Should I just grab a hair trimmer and go crazy?

I should mention that I have a pretty crappy hair trimmer the blade is crooked so it hurts when I trim close to the skin. Im too cheap to buy a new one…

Im ex-Military, and if you want the job done proper, unscrew the upper casing oil the area with wd-40 align the blades and put the casing back on. To buzz cut I recommend going from the front of your face to the back with a #3, Then Back to front, and then adjust the razor to full forward, and repeat the process to achieve a perfect zero.
