I do all of the above myself. My dog looked kinda silly the first couple times I gave her a hair cut! (she’s a long haired spaniel that I like to keep in a shorter clip) But I eventually got the hang of it and now she looks pretty darn good. As far as teeth cleaning – they get brushed regularly (I used to have my older dog done at the Vet once a year – but since I switched to a raw diet I haven’t needed to) what about you? What do you do yourself?

I do all of the above myself. (Except for anal glands, so far, my dog hasn’t needed to have those done.)

My dog actually LOVES to have her teeth brushed. She gets excited when she sees the toothbrush.
Not much trimming for my breed. I lay my dog upside-down on my lap to trim between her pads, that’s about all. Occasionally I do a little trimming on the back legs, but since she’s not a show-dog, it really doesn’t matter if it’s done or not.
The rest is pretty straight-forward (bathe, brush, trim nails, clean ears).

I’m actually kind of afraid to take my dog to the groomer. I’ve heard horror stories about people taking their papillons to the groomer, and when they picked their dog up the groomer had cut all the fringe off the dog!
