do sighthounds like greyhounds wear two collars while walking or just one?

I was reading a book on greyhounds today. I already knew they needed martingales for walks but this book also suggested nylons for home use (to hold ID and such). So my thing is do you just slip on the martingale and keep the nylon on (just in case the dog gets loose) or do you only use the martingale and take of the nylon?
I though martingales weren’t used as normal collars because they do tighten a bit

Some people like to keep a plain tag collar on their dogs at home, and only use the fancy martingale ones out on walks.

Mine wear their martingale collars all the time & I do have their tags attached to them ….. you just make sure that you do not attach the tags to the big “D” ring (which works the part that tightens) …. that way they do not pose a choking hazard.

If a person uses a tag collar, they would leave this on and put the martingale on in addition …. as you should never leave the house with out your dogs having id tags on them.
