Is it harmful to use Frontline Spot On flea treatment 3 days early?

Last month on the 16th I used Frontline Spot On flea treatment on my cat, but we obviously put it too low down the back of his neck because he managed to lick some of it off….and while the fleas seemed to all die and fall off of him, after less than a week, he started scratching again and now he’s worse than he ever was before.So we were thinking about treating him again today (the 13th) And I’m wondering if the packet only says to do it every month on the same date because you need to do it every 30 days to avoid them coming back, or whether it’s actually harmful to use twice in a period shorter than 30 days?

I am told the effects wear off after about 3 weeks and it wont hurt to apply it again early. You might also put some on the cats back just before the tail because fleas love that area, it’s hard for the cat to get to that part.
You might also try switching it out with advantage for cats every couple months because they get used to one flea killer (told to us by the Vet)
They are still going to scratch some because the flea has to bite them to actually die and so they will itch some and they will scratch like we do when we have an itch.
If they lick it, it shouldn’t hurt them but I am told it tastes bad to them.
