Frontline Flea

Does anyone know what harm could come to my CHIHUAHUA if she is given Frontline Flea Treatment for Large Dogs?

I have looked everywhere for Small Dog frontline and all the vets in town were out. My father in law did me a “favor” and found some and came over to our house while we were gone and gave it to her. The package said for dogs 89-132 lbs!! She is a very frail 10 year old chihuahua who also has allergies to fleas. I’m worried what will happen to her now. What should we do?

I would call the company or your Vet immediately. It may be that she will be fine but its pretty much like an overdose for a human-some are very dangerous and some will just make you ill for a short time then you get over it. I would not take the chance. If I were you, I would start with calling the company that makes Frontline first since that should be free.
