Frontline doesn’t work. Is there a natural way to kill my dog’s fleas?

I use Frontline on my dog. It does a good job of killing ticks but it doesn’t work too well for fleas (I live in an area with a lot of fleas). I can’t use Advantix because it contains a chemical which is poisonous to my cat. Does anyone know of a natural, non-toxic way to deal with fleas?

Frontline does work, I can assure you of that.

If you still have a problem with fleas, you need to treat your house. You ALWAYS need to treat the house when fleas are present – it’s part of their lifecycle to live and breed in your carpet as well.

Regular Frontline doesn’t kill flea eggs, which is why you need to get a housespray to get the ones living in your carpet – do get a spray from a vets. Once you’ve sprayed a few times, I advise using Frontline Plus – this does kill flea eggs and so treats the environment as well, once you’ve sprayed to kill the initial infestation.
