is this a good christmas gift for my boyfriend?

we are both 15 years old, and have been going out for 8 months now
i’m thinking of getting him a dog tag with our establishment date engraved on one side and a short, personal message from me on the back.
along with that i’m going to make a home-made card with a short poem/letter, and with it have our first picture we took together, and our most current one.

is this a good idea? other thoughts, feel free to say ^___^ i have a budget of 30 dollars (no, i don’t get money from my parents, it’s from my job >.>)
