Directions on how to make Dog Toys with fleece material?
Looking for a website other than HGTV’s website on how to make toys for my dog using fleece material. I saw a couple different kinds of toys at Petsmart made with fleece. I’d like to try to make some at home with what I have. But I can’t find any websites that have directions for other ideas. I’ve included link to show a Tug Toy I’m talking about.

The picture you shared looks dead-easy. To me it looks like a bunch of strips, braided and tied. It looks like the strips are about 1″ to 1.5″ wide and about twice as long as the toy you want. I’d start with 6 or 9 strips and group them in three bunches, then braid them snugly. If you don’t braid a lot, the trick to getting braid snug is to pull the material out to the side and slightly up after each weave. I would also add a few handstitches at each end for security — if you don’t sew well, just knot off both ends tightly.
It’s not fleece, but we Made Dog toys from the legs of dead jeans. Cut the leg off, trim and loose threads, and tie one big knot in the middle. Get someone on the other end and pull the knot as tight as the two of you can.
If you do enjoy sewing, Simplicity (and probably McCall’s) makes some Good Dog-stuff patterns. I think they have dog toys there.
