How do I figure out a dress size?

I want to surprise my wife with some rather revealing lingerie, but a lot of on-line sites have their items by dress size. I know her pants size, bra size, pantie size etc. but she doesn’t have any dresses. And if she did she hasn’t worn them in so long I wouldn’t trust it. Any suggestions I have come across (like having her try something on or measuring her) would tip my hand. If someone can give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

It should be the same size as her pants/shirt/underwear size. If she wears different sizes in pants and shirts, then it will depend on what you’re buying. If it’s stretchy, go with the smaller size. If it’s not stretchy, go with the larger size.
