Can you wear a cocktail dress with a coat?

I’m going out for dinner tonight and I don’t have anything else but a nice winter coat to wear with this nice dress + it’s cold! Please someone help me!

well, it’d be best if it were an overcoat, instead of a puffy number.

if the color matches the dress, and if it gives you an hourglass shape, then DEFINITELY, it’d be perfect…esp w/ some nice heels. i think it looks really nice when i see someone w/ a coat open, a nice dress underneath, and really cute heels.

it its a puffer coat, it’d probably look worse, but better be warm and slightly eccentric than freezing cold and make ppl wonder “why isnt the poor creature wearing a coat?”

either way, wear the coat. if it isnt an overcoat, see if you can borrow someone elses, but if you cant, better a puffer than nothing at all =)
