Chihuahua Double Trouble?

We just got 2 Chihuahuas 3 days ago and things arent going as planned. The dogs will be 1 yr old on friday and they are females. The lady we bought them from said they were outside dogs and they dont even have names! We are keeping them inside and of course they crap everywhere but the worse part is they hide in there crate all day and if I make them get out they just hide somewhere else. Theyve never had a leash on before so basicly they have no sense at all.
Theyre afraid of me and wont come around and its hard to train when they dont have names and just want to hide in a corner. What are some basic things I can do to bring them out of there shell? I have a jack russell and a chihuahua mix and they dont even pay the new dogs any attention. This is very frustrating.

That’s so sad! First name them – Thelma and Louise? (just a thought) They have not been socialized and it’s going to take time for them to feel comfortable. I’m sure they are afraid, too. Sit on the floor. You will be on their level and be less threatening for them. Then you can try coaxing them out with food then praise them.

Housebreaking will also take time. Keep them on a scheduled feeding routine. That will get their system on a time schedule so you will know better when they bathroom needs will be. If it’s logical, you can try keeping them in the same room you are so you can keep a better eye on them.

With patience, praise and love, they will come around.
