I have a whistle register though…………….?

I don’t have any vocal coach…..but After mimicking mariah carey since childhood I’v been able to obtain a whistle register but when I try to go higher you can’t hear anything it’s like my voice totally goes out my sister said jokingly “you may have went super sonic” After hearing this I got curious and did it around my dog and he started becoming uncomfortable then I told my sister about it and she did a little experiment and got a Dog Whistle and tryed it out on the dog the dog had the same discomfort as when I was sheariking my question is could humans go supersonic with their voices?

I am a singer and I started mimicking singer’s whistle tones when I was young too, so they come easy to me. My voice teacher in college was very impressed!

Supersonic is not the name for it. It is you whistle range and you singing whistle tones. That is the correct terminology for them. Supersonic I think is that little blue dude on sega video games! hehe!

There is nothing wrong with making these sounds, and yes it will bring a dog discomfort. If your dog pees on the floor you know what to do!!! I’m glad that you can do this… it’s a rare thing, and some singers never actually figure it out. Have fun with it…. but if something ever starts hurting be sure to stop before you hurt your vocal chords!
