Do you have to wait for 48 hours after bath to use Advantage Flea treatment on your dog?

I seen on a video on youtube that for a flea treatment which is different to the one I am using but it said that you have to wait 48 hours after the dogs bath before applying it. Is this true for all treatments?
I’m using Advantage

Probably a good idea to wait at least 24 hours.
I put Advantix on mine and always wait a day after the bath to apply it.

Why not use Advantix instead of just Advantage next time – prevents fleas, ticks and it repels mosquitos – costs about the same.
