Can a baby size Eastern Ribbon Snake seriously harm my cat and dog?

When my Mom was outside with our cat, she noticed there was an Eastern Ribbon Snake (we looked online to find out what the snake was, and it seems to be an Eastern Ribbon Snake). I’m wondering should we be worried about it coming in the house through the vent? Also, should we be worried about this snake harming our cat (who is not a small cat and is fully grown), and our dog (who is fully grown also and a medum size dog)?

Ribbon snakes are very common and are absolutely no danger to cats and dogs. They are naturally terrified of all larger animals and will bolt at the sight of them. They don’t eat mice or rats and so rarely find their way into homes. If your dog or cat came upon the snake, it’s more likely that the snake would be the one injured. These snakes are completely harmless and eat little fish, insects, and tiny frogs.
