most effective flea control products?

We have two dogs and two cats an aquatic turtle and 50 gallon fish tank. Happy family except that we find it impossible to control the flea infstation in our home and on our dogs. We have used Advantage, Frontline and other, we have bombed our home with over the counter Bug foggers, we have shampooed out dogs weekly to help keep them more comfortable, but within hours the fleas are attacking again. I am at my wits end and need advice.

Frontline should be the best thing to use.

It protects the animals for a month. That is assuming that you do the treatment to each animal the same day.

You also need to spray the carpets as while the animals are ok for a month the fleas are reproducing.

Fleas do not differenciate as to whether an animal is clean or not. They just hop onto any animal. So it is better to bath the dogs and then give the treatment when they are dry and don’t bath the dogs for a month. You can still wash their paws if they are muddy from their walk but only shampoo once a month.
