pomeranian is getting skin irratations from harness.. what should i do?

so i put a harness on my dog and i noticed him scratching himself alot particullarly in areas where his harness is. i looked closer and i noticed hair loss AND his skin was red and irritated. what should i do? i know that small dogs should not use collars. also he’s really hyper and likes to pull on walks. we dont let him so we just stand there while he tries to pull us down the street.

not flowerly and stuff. just plain black nylon..

any serious suggestions would be great. could i do a collar?

Don’t use the harness if its irritating your dogs skin…..you CAN use a collar, but if you dont want to us a collar you could use a gentle leader (head collar/halti), it’s humane (there is no pressure on the throat, but can cause damage if put on too tightly), doesnt cause pain and stops dogs from pulling
