do you think a presa canerio can turn into a aggressive dog if it lives a home life?

im talking about a home life with quite a big back yard and regular long walks and saturday and sundays it would be out all day and in company all day, apart from the few hours away on week days it wouldent really ever be alone, is this a good life do you think for this type of dog or will it make it aggressive and have these dogs ever been known to turn on its family ?

no, dogs become agressie when they are not cared or trained properly. If you get a young presa where you know the history of the dog and spen LOTS of time training, socializing and caring for it then you will have a great dog. They do have a stronger prey drive and can be aggresive because that is what they were bred for. You can not take instinct out of a dog, you can however channel them properly so the dog knows when it is appropriate to use them.

However, you have to decide from the start what you want this dog to be, a guard or a friend. Dogs can’t be both. If you want your dog to protect your home you will most likely have to put him away when you have guest over. You have to really consider if you want to spend the large amounts of time it will take to train this type of dog.

But no they don’t turn on their family if all above is done.
