Dog Jacket
Practical Dog Jacket?
I have a 10 pound short-haired Chihuahua mix. I know that in the winter he is going to need a jacket to be outside. However, I HATE the idea of having to dress a dog. Does anyone know of any companies that make very practical, very warm sweaters or jackets for dogs? I LOVE this jacket. But moreover, my 6lb yorkie loves it too! The problem I have with most jackets are just getting them on my dog. One arm.. then another… and they are either too big and floppy or too small and pinch under the armpits. And my dog refuses to have things put over his head, so sweaters are out (not that I would dress my dog up like that anyway).
This fleece coat velcros along the back of your dog. My dog wears a step in harness so he’s used to putting things on like this. Put both feet in. Then wrap it around the dog. Easy as pie!! And it’s SO soft!! The little sleeves are so nice for walking in the winter because I know my dog is completely protected from the elements (unlike the over the back jackets that dont cover the arms or chest very well).
And the company rocks!! I ordered one for Christmas and it was too big. So I exchanged it. Within days I had a new one for my little boy and a free Christmas Squeaky Toy for him.
My mother in law ordered one for her 9lb dachshund just a few months ago. It’s a little short (but only because her dog is so long), but the dog loves to have it on.
