how do you feel about the uk govt trying to introduce a dog insurance scheme or is this just a form?
or a dog license?
do you see this as another cash cow? like speed cams ?
or do you see it as a good thing ?
how many ppl with illegal dogs will actually care and get there dog registered
do you feel that the bill will be passed ?
how about all the show breeders will they be able to carry on breeding when a dog will have to have a 160 pound plus insurance tag on it , and so will all the others ?!!

please not , it not just aggressive dogs that will need this , it is going to be a ALL dog insurance/license scheme ? yes even for those poms,, poodles and russells !!!
I live in Germany and from experience here i can tell you its simply a way of generating income for the state, ie insurance”pays out” if theres some kind of an occurance, ie the dog causes an accident or injures someone,this does not, so therefore ya cant call it an insurance really can you. For instance in Germany you get charged up to 200€ yearly simply for having a dog, cost is depending on size.
This is strictly regulated by the town hall, and if you are seen walking a dog without a disc you will be then forced to pay”insurance” for two consecutive years or face having the dog confiscated by the state and destroyed, and face also a monetary fine or even a short prison stay. However like an insurance does IT DOES NOT PAY OUT! An injured person would then therefore also make a court claim against you, and that means you have to pay for the injury and treatment or face jail or a heavy fine again, its the way ” dog insurance” is done here they have the cheek to call it that !!!!!! In reallity its legalised robbery more money for the politicians pockets as per normal. So no i dont think it a good thing….. not at all.
Lets face it who likes being robbed, cos thats what it is tantamount to whatever way ya care to look at it.
