Dog Illnesses Vomiting

Alright this might be a silly question, but I have to ask?

Is it possible for dogs to spread an illness to humans?? Both of my dogs have had vomiting and diarrhea the last few days, now my son has diarrhea. Is that possible or just a coicedence?

My dog got sick and the doctor said it had parasites and he recommended that I give my nephews medication for parasites since they were playing with my dog 2 days before, so yes, it´s not a really big risk but it might happen specially if your dogs are inside if they are I recommend you to put them outside so your baby it´s in a cleaner, safer environment
