Dog Horse Electric
using underground electric Dog Fence in conjunction with chain link fence?
I have a 5′ chain link fence that circles my entire yard. My dogs have learned to climb it so I bought a Dogtek underground Electric Dog fence. I’m not sure where to place the wire for the dog fence so it’s most effective.
In addition, a horse has access to half of my yard and the wire needs to be placed safely so the horse doesn’t damage it. The soil here is all sand and is quite deep and soft where the horse walks. I want the dogs to have access to the full yard.
What will be the most effective placement of the underground dog fence?
The instructions say to buy the wire less than 4 inches. The sand is pretty churned up where the horse walks a lot. Where he doesn’t walk a lot, his steps in the sand go down about 2 inches.
i would say far enough away to keep dogs off fence. say about two steps for dog.
not sure about the horse, how deep can it be buried? how deep does the horse walk?
