My dog is itching uncontrollably after a flea treatment. Should I take him to the Vet?

My husband gave our dog (8lbs) a flea treatment and he can’t stop scratching now not even for a second! I think he’s having an allergic reaction. Should I take him to the vet?

I would phone the vet and ask their opinion. Depending on the type of treatment applied, they may just have you wash him thoroughly and keep an eye on him.
