Dog Diarrhoea Treatment
I took my 11 year old dog to Vet for seasonal allergy to flea bites. She was fine except for itching.?
They gave her rabies shot, antihistamine pills. It’s been about a week, and she has had diarrhea, vomiting, lethargy. She has been back 3 times and been treated for this with cortisone shot, flaghl etc.and is still sick! When I mentioned reaction from the rabies shot or any of the treatments, they say no it couldn’t be. I am sooo frustrated, and need a natural cure for my dog! No more poisons, or medications for my animal!
Did they tell you to change her diet? If not at least try to stop the vomiting and diarrhea. Boil some white rice, minute rice is fine. Now, boil some chicken and shred it up with your hands and mix it with the rice, nothing else for flavor. If she still has diarrhea and vomiting from this, your vet is missing something. I have had dogs all of my life and every time one gets sick with diarrhea and vomiting, every vet I have ever known has prescribed this rice and chicken. I have a Shih Tzu that I put on this diet, and he still threw up. I took him back to the vet and he had hepatitis, which required a different diet altogether. Try this diet for her. As I said, itf it does not stop her symptoms, the vet needs to look for something else. I am sorry your dog isn’t feeling well, and I do hope she feels better.
