Dog Chews
My dog chews up every bed we buy him. What can I do to make him stop?
We tell him no every time, but he still chews it up. We just can’t seem to make him stop. What should I do?
Ellen, I’m not talking about my bed, I’m talking about the Dog Bed!
First, stop buying him a new one. If he isn’t using it- don’t waste your money. Second, fabric and stuffing is really bad for a dogs insides and he might have digestive problems if you let it continue. The same goes for stuffed toys- as soon as they rip, take it away.
If you need to have a bed for him, try a carpeted floor mat. The kind with the rubber on the bottom and the shortest fibers on top. The larger the dog the larger the mat. In most cases it will be too hard for him to lift and chew it, plus they capture dog hair really well and they are easy to clean. Hope this helps!
