Favorite/best brand of CORDLESS dog/cat clippers?
I need to buy some clippers for my dogs and cats. I want cordless clippers.
I own clippers for sheep shearing (Oster). I also own clippers for my horses (Oster).
I’ve never purchased small animal clippers, so I’m looking for pros and cons on clippers. I do know I want cordless.
I have a long haired cat with extremely fine hair who gets horrible mats since her sister died.
I also have a herding dog with feathering. He’s an actual working dog. He finds the muddiest spot, and wallows like a hippo, to cool off before going back to work. Of course he’s the only dog that’s allowed in the house.
I want to clip him from about the middle of his chest on down. He has fine hair, for a dog.

Why will cordless clippers not get the job done?
I’ve seen my Vet use cordless clippers quiet a bit.
We have a 40 acre farm. I’m hoping to get some I can use anywhere on the farm I might need to. Even places that have no electricity.
I’m a groomer and have had Andis cordless clippers for about 10 years now. They are powerful enough to plow through most anything. They are expensive and for the limited use you have for them I don’t think you’ll get your money’s worth. Also, I don’t know how they would hold up if the battery was only charged every couple of months. The Andis 1 or 2 speed are both good clippers and should do the job for you.
