Why does my dog play with his biscuit before he eats it?

My dog always plays with his biscuit before eating it.He hits it around with his paws and after playing with it for several moments then he eats it.I wonder why he does it.

because its fun..you entertain yourself your own way so does he..he gets bored just like you do sometimes..gotta stay amused somehow..i give my puppy this small rawhide/bone things and he likes to hide it around the house for a few days before eating it..not sure why, but he enjoys it, its fun for him and hes not hurting anyone..sometimes there are no answers to things..its just that way because
