Dog Beds For Labradors

what is the best way to get my puppy out of the crate and using a Dog Bed instead ??

My little labrador is 13 weeks old but is already getting quite big for his crate and i was thinking about taking his crate away and putting his Big Dog bed there instead. The other night i left his crate door open to see how he would get on in the kitchen at night and he went mad, was barking and howling for ages and bashing the kitchen door, eventially i had to put him in the crate with the door shut. Is he best in the crate? too young for normal bed? any suggestions please…….

My dog is 4 years old and still sleeps in a crate. Once you crate train your dog, he will always feel safer in the crate. If you remove the crate you could likely cause anxiety in your dog. You have to understand that dogs are dening animals. They are supposed to be in small confined areas.

EDIT: Crates also keep your dog safe when you can’t watch them. Imagine what would happen if your pup was loose in the house at night and chewed on a lamp cord or something else that was pluged in. Just get a bigger kennel. Your pup will be happier I promise.
