How do I open the Bamboo adjustable shedding blade?

I’ve just gotten a shedding blade thanks to a friend of mine who recommended that I buy one for my dog, but this particular one didn’t come with instructions. And I don’t know how to open it so it could be straight. Can someone please help me?

There should be a button on it that you need to push in and push or pull the blade. It’s tough at first because it’s so tight, but once you keep doing it, it’ll get much easier. It needs to break in a little. It also may be hard at first to lock the adjustment in place until it’s broken in. It sucks but as long as you keep pushing the button and pulling the blade, you’ll get it! good luck!
