Diarrhea Dogs Treatment

my dog got diarrhea?

my Golden Retriever got diarrhea for couple days. His poop’s not been good. it’s soft and liquid stools but he doesn’t show any other symtoms such as vometting or dehydration . he’s still eaten and played like normal. Anyways, i’ve given him a deworming treatment by taking Interceptor last week. do you think it’s because of that? should i take him to the Vet or i should wait for couple days? He’s okay just have bad soft poop. that’s all

Any dog exhibiting diarrhea for more than 2 -3 days should go to the vet. It could be a number of things. He could gotten a hold of something he shouldn’t have (puppies are notorious for that), or it could be enteritis. If you changed food recently that could do it – puppies (and many dogs) need to be transitioned over a period of 1-2 weeks when changing foods.

Try a couple of tablespoons of Peptol-Bismol. If that doesnt help within a day – make a vet appt.
