All the designer dog breeds I’ve seen look like one parent or the other?
So what is the point of paying a high price for a mutt when you can get a dog that looks just like it that is purebred for the same price?
I would actually respect a real geneticist perfecting a “new breed”…not some byb scum bag choosing to cross 2 dogs for the hell of it. These pekapoos,morkies,chiweenies and doodle-doodle blah blahs all look different. I saw 2 “maltipoos” at the dog park the other day and each looked completely different…now why do people still think hybrids are breeds? There is no standard! no guidelines to perfecting temperament,features,and health.It makes zero sense.
There is NO point…but “those people” the byb puppy mill profiteers have used our infatuation of owning something “new or trendy” as a way to draw the ignorant in…who isn’t drawn to rare and different…”oh I have a Doodle-Noodle,my dog is so cool and rare” Blah,its just dumb.
I have no problem with mutts.I owned a few growing up….but the only place a mutt should be purchased is at a shelter or rescue.Not through a pet store and Not through some fake breeder.All they do is experiment with life for money! .Its appalling really.
