Is there any danger to using a cell phone WITHOUT a batter cover?

My phone’s battery cover snapped (it’s really cheap plastic) so now the battery is out in the open. Is this dangerous at all?

The battery is tightly secured in so it won’t fall out.

It is very unlikely that you are in any immanent threat of danger. i would be careful while around water so as not to damage your battery. i would also suggest putting a piece of duck tape over it.
