Comb Wood Handle

How do you get mold out from wood?

I have a wooden comb, and recently some black spots have grown on the end of the handle. I’m assuming it’s fungus. But I really like the comb and I know breathing in the spots is unhealthy. How can I get rid of the spots?

Soak it in bleach.
