My cat will not stop scratching her head?

It’s mostly on her right side, but some on her left. She scratches so much that her her head was bald and bleeding in the spot between her eye and her ear. I put an E-collar on her so she couldn’t scratch it. I took it off today after her head had had some time to heal, and I put some anti-itch cream on the spot, but she still scratches! I cleaned her ears with Q-tips and they were totally free of any traces of anything. She hasn’t had any discharge coming out of her ears and they look completely healthy. She eats Innova EVO Cat and Kitten. What could it be? Could it just be a nervous habit?
My cat is spayed.
My cat does not have fleas.
My cat is an indoor only cat.

Well be careful there are four possibilities that i can think of
1. she has fleas or tics or something you know the itchy pest things so check when the last time to put on the flea collar
2. SOmething in her flea medicines has something that the cat might have and allergic reaction so check with your Vet on that.
3. usually when a female cat is in heat they tend to rub or scratch their heads more than offend. so she should stop eventually when the heat stops
4. lol she got a mosquito bite….lol hey that might be true

well either way get her checked up by the vet and good luck
