Is it mean to put my dog in a dog coat/sweater?

It looks really cute on him, and keeps him warm. However, I wonder if dogs like these at all or if it is mean to put them in, and uncomfortable to them?

It all depends really.
We have a little dog who has a thin coat and gets cold very easily. He doesn’t sleep outside often in winter, but when he does, we put his little coat on him. its not too tight around the neck/legs so he’s comfortable and it keeps him warm.
We also have a sheepdog who is 10 years old with rather bad arthritis. He is old and has had a hard life working, so he also gets cold. In winter he wears his rug at night and we take it off in the morning.
So I’d say as long as your dog was only wearing it when he needs to and as long as it fits properly and he doesn’t mind, its not mean at all!
