Do Soft Paw Nail caps for cat’s claws really work?

Can a cat still do damage to a dog’s eye if they swat it hard enough? My sister won’t let her small terrier near my cat for fear that she will scratch her dog’s eyes. She wants me to put nail caps on my cat’s claws but I am worried that even the Soft Paws would still do harm if her dogs eyes are hit hard enough.

She has offered to take care of my cat for a couple weeks if I put the nail caps on my cat. Do you think her dog would be safe if they have an unfriendly encounter?

I do not know the answer to your questions but I used nail caps for my cats. It does work to a certain extent. Sometimes, the nail caps fall off and you might not even realize it for a while. It is hard and time-consuming to put on your cat unless your cat will just sit there and let you work on the paws.
