Cat Pet Personalized
Is it normal for a cat to just never want to be petted?
she rubs up against me,licks me,does everything like an normal cat does to show love to it’s owner,yet when i go to pet her when she’s doing this (and even when she’s not doing it) and she just flees away from me. are animals like humans in that they have different personalizes?
also sometimes she’ll bite me when i try to pet her. i always thought it’s becuase she is afraid of me,yet i’ve had her for 3 years and no one else but me ever is around her.
Yup! They’re all different. I have one cat who’s like that. She loves to give me attention, but she only likes me to give her a bit before she gets upset. She’s also not very talkative. But, she’s a sweetheart and I love her. My other cat loves attention. He likes to be picked up and cuddled. He’ll curl up on my chest and snuggle into my neck. He’s also a chatter box, lol. Both cats have totally different personalities, but get along great.
I think your cat is very normal. She wants attention on her own terms. Those terms just happen to be her giving you affection. I suppose that you’ll just have to accept that and enjoy her company when she comes to visit you
