Cat spray or dog pee?

I have 2 male dogs and 3 cats( 2 are male). I have had all pets for quite some time and they are all fixed. I recently purchased a new ottoman( the one male cat thinks I bought it for him) and have noticed one of them are either spraying or peeing on it. The corners are soaked and some of the carpet also. This is happening everyday when i come home from work and sometimes when i wake in the morning. The one dog I believed it to be ( loves to mark when on walk) had its urine checked and came back negative. I tried to video tape while at work but the tape did not last all day…my question is how much spray does come out when a cat marks? is it enough to soak the furniture and the carpet? the smell is bad…any ideas..
oh and i did spray using a cat/dog deterrent and that only worked for a couple days

Not sure if it’s cat or dog pee,because although cat spray is wet,it’s more of an oily substance and I don’t think it’s liquidy enough to actually soak the carpet or furniture unless they are repeatedly spraying it.What I think might be happening is this:due to the volume of male pets,one of the cats is marking the ottoman as ‘his’ and the remaining animals are peeing on or near it.Male cats spray a small amount of this oily gunk,kinda like a fine mist from a water bottle,whereas dog or cat pee can soak just about anything.
In my opinion,cat spray smells much worse than pee.I would definitely take the ottoman outside or in the garage and thoroughly scrub the wettened area with a 50/50 solution of water and club soda (add just a squirt of laundry soap also).Then blot dry as best as possible.This will clean and neutralize the smell.When the wet area has mostly dried,mix up some Massengill and hot water in a spray bottle and spray a nice thick layer onto the furniture.Use the same mixture on the carpeting as well.This will deter the animals from wetting the area again and leaves a pleasant,clean smell.
