Is it alright to crate train my puppy in a carrier?

It’s for my 5 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He keeps peeing inside the house. We’re not always around, so he just pees everywhere. Right now, I can’t afford a crate, so I’m thinking about using the carrier.

Is this okay?

I have a 3 month old Pit Bull puppy. We started training him in a cat carrier which was just big enough. Make sure theres enough room for him to turn around in and he wont have accidents in the carrier either. A good tip, everytime you put him in there say “kennel” or “carrier” followed by Good Boy after he goes inside. He’ll think of this as his own little space. Also never force him into it or use it as punishment or he’ll no longer like going into his little home.
