How often do you comb/brush your Persian cat?

I use a comb on mine and do it every day. She doesn’t really need it that often but she loves it so much that it’s a morning ritual now. She rolls over for her belly to be done and kisses me the whole time so it’s just something we love to do! How often do you groom your Persian?

Congrats on knowing to COMB your Persian and not brush it! So many brush their Persians and end up ripping out the topcoat hairs and leaving the undercoat matted.

Depends on the time of year. Through fall/winter I have to comb my Persian at least every other day to prevent mats and collect the loose hair. When he goes into a heavy Spring shed I start combing daily. Then through Spring/Summer sometimes I can go an entire week without combing him – he gets a really light coat!
