How do you jump a car with booster cables?

Can someone give me the basic steps to jump a car?
I have booster cables. One end is red the other end is black. I find somebody who car works. Where do I stick the colored ends??

Park running car near dead car – but not touching.
Open both hoods.
Remove plastic caps from metal posts on batteries.
Connect red clip to red post on one battery.
Connect other red clip to other red post on other battery.
Connect first black clip to black post on running car’s battery.

Important:

Connect second black wire to the metal frame of the engine compartment a few feet away from the battery, to avoid possible explosion of battery gasses. There may be a little spark when you connect it.

Start dead car.

Let them run for a few minutes (3-5).

Disconnect black wire from frame.
Disconnect black wire from good car’s battery.
Disconnect both red wires in any convenient order.
Close hoods.

Done.
