Bite sleeve… bad idea?
Are bite sleeves limited exclusively to dogs being trained for types of on call attack(ex;police dogs)?
Or can they also be used as a safe way to entertain a energetic pet?
Do you think the use of a bite sleeve would encourage a dog to jump/attack a person under other circumstances? Would a excited dog used to a bite-sleeve be more likely to (playfully or otherwise) jump/attack a person than a dog who hasn’t used this tool?
If there is a way to safely exercise your dog with a bite sleeve, without risking future attacks, what is it?
I doubt my Papillon would take well to a bitesleeve:)
For the record, I ask out of curiosity and a interest in bully breeds.
I noticed two guys yesterday at the dogpark using a bitesleeve with their GSD. It just looked like there would be no way that could ever be safe.
But IS there a use for bitesleeves, aside from police/attack-Dog Training?
the safety factor come in with the fact that a properly trained Schutzhund dog has been taught a HALT command! the competition also required obedience work equivalent to the second level in AKC….
