is my dog getting ready to have her puppies?

she’s still eating and she wont let me take her temp but she was sleeping in my lap and all the sudden she started to whine and she keeps walking back and forth and she’s starting to whine a lot louder than i’ve ever heard her whine she is digging in her bed and in a bean bag that’s in my room and she’s biting at them is she in labor???
well obviously she was since a puppy just came out put if you guys still want to say something your more than welcome thanks

After she has cleaned it up she will be getting ready to have another. Make sure the pup is nursing as that will help.

Watch tomake sure she doesn’t get to aggressive with cleaning. WE had one bite off tip of ear. ugh. another time one bit too close to tummy when chewing off umbilical cord… she had already chewed off but just seemed to want to do more. She did get the hang after a few more pups, and our encouragemet to be gentle.

Only let the mom eat about 3-4 placentas… too many will make her sick although ours ate almost all of them.

If she looks like she is flagging in energy you can offer some beef broth or yogurt.. yogurt is great.

Do not let outside without you accomponing with flashlight to watch if she does decide to try togo out.

Keep watchign so that if anything happens you are there to help. But stay back and let her do her thing for now. hoepfully you have some resources available to guide you if there are problems.
