Bath Massage Glove

My daughter has a dry scalp: Cradle Cap?

How common is it for babies to get Cradle Cap. My daughter is 4 months and she has very dry patches on her scalp. Is this considered Cradle Cap? I tried using this glove to massage baby oil in her scalp made for Cradle Cap. I used it 2 times at each bath. It hasn’t improved since I began using it. Is there any other tips to help moisturize her scalp? Or will this go away on its own without doing anything?

Hi, my little one has just had cradle cap herself and she is also 4 months old. Although it is more common in babies a few weeks old, older babies can and do get it.
I was advised to try the following but it took three goes before it worked.
* Rub a little olive oil into the baby’s scalp before bed. Comb the hair with a fine-toothed comb in the morning.
* When the scales have been removed, wash the baby’s hair with a mild baby shampoo.

If the treatment does not work, or if the baby has eczema on the face or body, consult your doctor or a pharmacist for advice.
