Products to Control Dog barking, like the Bark Off?

My neighbor’s dog will NOT stop barking constantly. I live in a apartment so it’s right next door. We’ve talked to the landlord several times about and he’s not going to do anything. So I was thinking about getting a Bark Off. Has anybody used this? I mean the Bark Off specifically, not something similar. I don’t want to spend a bunch of money on something that might not work. I was wondering if: a) the Bark Off works and b) do you think it would work through walls? I was also thinking about getting a Dog Whistle that I could blow when it’s barking, but I don’t know if that would go through the walls either. Any suggestions? I’ve been telling my husband that I’m going to write a letter to her but he’s always like, “no, no, I’ll talk to her” and she’s had the thing since Christmas and he hasn’t yet (*sigh* husbands…) I’m going crazy here but I don’t want to move over a dog!

There is currently no magical formula to stop dogs from barking, especially since you are in an apartment next door! If you have not talked to the owners, then they probably do not know it is bothering anyone.. “If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it does it make a sound?”. Same thing goes for a dog left alone…. if I am not there to witness it, then I wouldnt’ know my dog was being a nusiance. Best bet is go talk to them yourself, and stop waiting for your husband.. if it was my husband it would take 6 months too, LOL…. The only way to stop barking is training, and help prevent seperation anxiety and learn to treat it.

I can only imagine how frusterating this is for you.. and I would go nuts.. However this IS your landlords responsibility to take care of. If your building has no rules, and does not abide by a basic Tenancy agreement act, which states the “right to quite enjoyment”, get out of there. I would not want to live in a building that does not respect my rights as a tenant.
