Would bitter apple spray make bars rust?

I have a hamster which bites its bars and keeps me up. i wanted to know if the bitter apple spray you can buy, would make the bars on its cage rust?
i have got no room and i have a edible log and a mineral wheel, with tons of carbourd tubes next to my hamster cage with one in at a time.
they are pure metal
